Council rules for Jimboomba fall under Logan City Council, the same as the rest of the Logan region, and work through mapped vegetation zones rather than one rule for every block. Generally speaking, a native tree needs council approval to remove if it’s over 4 metres tall or has a trunk circumference of 31.5cm or more measured at chest height – properties outside these mapped areas, and under a certain lot size, are often exempt.
