Commercial Tree Removal & Lopping

For businesses and local municipalities needing a hazardous, damaged or overgrown tree dealt with, we plan carefully to avoid disrupting neighbouring properties and get the job done quickly so you can resume operations. Removal and lopping are treated differently under Queensland vegetation rules, and we can help you understand which applies and assist with council permits where required. For larger commercial sites needing more than tree work alone, we can help with land clearing across the Gold Coast.

Emergency & Storm Response

The Gold Coast’s exposure to severe storms means fallen or dangerously damaged trees can turn up with little warning, sometimes blocking streets or tangled in power lines. We’re available 24/7 to respond safely and quickly to tree emergencies.

What Our Customers Say

Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what our customers have to say about working with Treesafe.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for Sam and the Treesafe environmental services team for their exceptional work in removing a large mango tree from my property in Labrador. Their tree lopping skills were truly impressive, as they approached the task with utmost professionalism and precision.

Rhys Gordon

What a fantastic job Sam and his team did. We had five enormous and very old silky oak trees on our property, in a bit of a precarious position being very close to the house and shed. This was no problem for the team – they were so efficient and took so much care getting everything cut down and mulched.

Monica James

My wife and I have used Sam and his team several times over the years, and would not consider using anyone else. His team of experts are a wonder to watch operate, and they always have the best equipment for the task at hand, especially when there are difficult trees adjacent to buildings.

Tree Removal Rules on the Gold Coast

The rules here work differently to some neighbouring council areas: under the City of Gold Coast’s Vegetation Management Code, most trees generally do need a permit before removal or significant pruning, particularly protected, native or significant species – it’s the exemptions that are narrow, not the permit requirement.

Common exemptions include vegetation near an existing or proposed boundary fence (the exact distance depends on your lot size), vegetation close to an approved building, anything within 1.5 metres of a pool fence, or vegetation already covered by an approved development or landscape plan. Penalties for unauthorised removal range from an on-the-spot fine for smaller breaches up to significant fines for larger ones, so it’s always worth checking first. We can help you work out whether your tree needs approval before any work begins or check directly with City of Gold Coast, since the exemption thresholds depend on your specific lot size and boundary distances.
